HALF-PINT regulates RNA splicing, is required for normal RNA localization during oogenesis, functions in both constitutive and alternative splicing in vivo, and is specifically required in vivo for a developmentally regulated splice form of the ovarian tumor gene.
FBP Interacting Repressor (FIR)/PUF60 blocks the transcriptional activation of c-myc by FUSE binding protein, via TFIIH subunits p62, p89, and Cyclin H, and, at the same time, enables the binding of U2 snRNP to pre-mRNA in conjunction with the large subunit of U2AF, U2AF65.
