Description | daf-1 encodes a TGF-beta type I receptor homolog required, in association with the TGF beta-like type II receptor DAF-4, for the regulation of dauer formation by environmental signals through the ASI chemosensory neuron; DAF-1 is bound by BRA-1 and has an intracellular serine-threonine kinase domain; mutations in daf-1 result in constitutive formation of dauer larvae even in abundant food. |
