F35G12.10 Details | |||||
Description | asb-1 encodes a homolog of ATP synthase B, closely similar to its paralog ASB-2, that is required for embryonic viability and for the normal proliferation of germline cells; asb-1 is preferentially expressed in germline cells, while RNAi of asb-1 causes embryonic lethality and sterility with a defective progression to meiosis.
Homology Group (KOG) | Mitochondrial F1F0-ATP synthase, subunit b/ATP4 |
||||
GO Terms | hydrogen-transporting ATP synthase activity, rotational mechanism (GO:0046933) ; hydrogen-transporting ATPase activity, rotational mechanism (GO:0046961) ; ATP synthesis coupled proton transport (GO:0015986) ; proton-transporting two-sector ATPase complex (GO:0016469)
