T13H10.1 Details | |
Description | kin-5 encodes a predicted protein tyrosine kinase that is most closely related to the non-receptor tyrosine kinases Fes/Fps and Fer that contain an SH2 domain and a tyrosine kinase domain (OMIM:190030, murine Fes appears to be required for hemopoietic homeostasis); as loss of kin-5 activity via large-scale RNAi screens does not result in any obvious abnormalities, the precise role of kin-5 in C. elegans development and/or behavior is not yet known. |
Homology Group (KOG) | Protein tyrosine kinase |
GO Terms | protein kinase activity (GO:0004672) ; ATP binding (GO:0005524) ; protein amino acid phosphorylation (GO:0006468) ; intracellular signaling cascade (GO:0007242) ; protein-tyrosine kinase activity (GO:0004713) |
Location | IV:9966677..9969552 |
RNAi Phenotypes | No phenotypes observed. |

Adult Phenotypes | WT |
RNAi Reagent Name & Type | Cenix:13-e4 (PCR reagent) |
Delivery Method | Injection |
Remark | early embryonic: Overall wildtype. Subtle defects in nuclear migration and rotation suggest a possible MT/cortex interaction problem, however, none of the defects shows any consequences up to the 4 cell stage. |
