Description of "C33D12.2" |
C33D12.2 encodes a homolog of human ACDP1-ACDP4 and a paralog of C01H6.6, C52D10.12, M02F4.3, R04E5.2, and R13G10.4; both C33D12.2 and ACDP1-ACDP4 belong to a family of proteins (defined by NCBI as KOG2118) that are predicted to be membrane-spanning and that share a motif (the 'ACD domain') with proteins from bacteria, yeast, plants, and metazoa; murine Acdp1 is a plasma membrane protein bacterial proteins containing the ACD domain include CorC from Salmonella typhimurium, which is involved in magnesium and cobalt efflux; C33D12.2 has no obvious function in RNAi assays. |
