T05C1.4 |
Description of "T05C1.4" |
T05C1.4 encodes, by alternative splicing, two members of the CAMTA family of calmodulin-binding transcriptional activators that are required for embryonic development; CAMTA proteins are conserved in animals and plants but absent from unicellular eukaryotes, and may thus represent a transcriptional activator specific to multicellular organisms; the common organization of CAMTA proteins is to have two N-terminal DNA-binding domains (CG-1 and TIG), followed by two ankyrin repeats, and then two or more calmodulin-binding IQ repeats. |
KOG Annotation  |
Uncharacterized conserved protein, contains IPT/TIG domain
