The survival rate of pmr-1 RNAi worms decreased up to 32% when grown on plates with 20 mM MnCl2 (N2: 4.5 +- 0.3 days, gfp RNAi: 4.4 +- 0.5 days, pmr-1 RNAi: 3.0 +- 0.3 days). However, pmr-1 RNAi-treated worms showed dramatically increased paraquat resistance (survival rate increased up to 39%) compared to gfp RNAi treated animals.
